남 : How's your hotel room?

그쪽 호텔 방은 어때요?

B : It's clean and light but I think they are a bit stingy on the amenities in the room.

깨끗하고 밝지만 방안의 비품엔 좀 인색하다는 생각이 들어요. 

남 : Right. There's not even a toothbrush!

맞아요. 칫솔조차 없죠. 

B : I'll need a shave before the conference - but I forgot to bring my toiletry bag.

콘퍼런스 가기 전에 면도를 해야 하는데 - 세면도구 가방을 깜빡하고 두고 왔어요. 

남 : I think I saw a large drugstore around the corner.

모퉁이에 큰 약국이 있는 걸 본 것 같아요. 

B : Thanks. I'll try to pick up a few things before it close today.

토익 RC 해석 문제 풀이 : 위 문제는 동사자리 채우기 문제로 관계절 (who ~the day only)에 동사가 없으므로 동사인 plan과 plans가 정답 후보다. 선행사 Employees가 복수 명사이므로 복수 동사인 plan이 정답이다. 준동사 planning과 to plan 은 동사 자리에 올 수 없다.

토익 RC 해석 : 위 문제는 관계대명사 채우기 문제로 빈칸은 명사 the computer course를 꾸며주는 관계절을 이끄는 자리이다. 관계절 내의 동사 offered는 타동사로 목적어를 필요로 하는데 관계절 내에 목적어가 없으므로 목적격 대명사인 who / that / whom이 정답 후보다. 

또한 이 관계절 내에서 목적어 역할을 하는 관계대명사가 지칭하는 것 the computer course가 사물이므로 사물과 사람에 관계없이 쓸 수 있는 목적격 관계대명사 that이 정답이다. A와 D는 선행사가 사람일 때 사용되므로 오답이다. 더불어 소유격 관계대명사 whose는 목적어 자리에 올 수 없다.
